Position Summary

WISE has immediate openings, based out of our Red Deer Operations Centre.  Reporting to the Operations  Manager, the Coiled Tubing Supervisor is responsible for the safe and efficient execution of all Coiled Tubing operations. (Coiled Tubing, N2 & Fluid pumping)    This role is responsible to ensure the supervision and safety of personnel and all equipment at all times; whether on a customer’s location or between locations.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and mentors crew members to achieve maximum daily performance and customer satisfaction as per the Operations Manager.
  • Assist in the planning and coordinating equipment move and services to be rendered.
  • Provide thorough mechanical understanding of the spread equipment and can explain various functions if questioned.
  • Monitor pipe conditions, perform reel-purging procedures, build new strings and/or cut pipes, as well as track day-to-day fatigue.
  • Perform down-hole calculations in various applications.
  • Operate coiled tubing units and associated equipment (fluid pump, nitrogen pump, crane, transports) with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a safe work area or job site by following company's policies, practices and procedures.
  • Ensures a pre-job checklist specific to the coiled tubing spread is completed prior to leaving the shop as per the following job specification requirements.
  • Perform maintenance on the equipment as per manufacturer / company recommendations.
  • Efficiently and competently drive safely and obeys all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Demonstrates competency in operating all equipment within the spread as required by company training protocol.
  • Participate in the discussion for the proposed operation with other Operators, Supervisors & Spread Management.
  • Act as a senior representative for WISE Intervention Services Inc. to customer onsite representatives in a courteous / professional manner.
  • Effectively and consistently communicate with supervisors to improve the quality of the operation of the equipment.
  • Ensure that all documentation is updated and in order.
  • Works within company protocol and collaborates with the spread supervisor to ensure performance standards are upheld at all times.
  • Respond to emergency situations responsibly and participate in routine ERP practice drills on the job as per regulatory and company policy.
  • Adhere to and promote company HSE and other policies.
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in coiled tubing operations, N2 & Fluid pumping services, in a supervisory capacity.
  • Class 1 driver’s license, with less than 6 demerits.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
  • H2S Alive, Standard First Aid-Level C, ODA,  WSBOP & CTWSBOP.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.

 

Working Conditions

  • Must be fit and available to work during set rotation; 15/6
  • Must be able to be away from home for long periods of time.
  • Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
